Innovation Abstract
Mathematics is fun! Of course, students often don’t find learning mathematics to be fun because it can be challenging to understand at times. To overcome these obstacles, the “Cook to Learn Mathematics” approach helps your child learn math in a safe, rewarding, and engaging way. During our short cooking classes your child will not only learn to make simple and delicious meals but also learn basic mathematics while preparing those meals. Some of the topics we focus on are shapes, addition, subtraction, and multiplication, just to name a few. Imagine a child learning to make their favorite peanut butter and jelly sandwich while also exploring the core mathematical ideas of shapes and ratios. We also provide worksheets and interactive games as fun ways to reinforce their learning after the meal is over.
